CAPITAL COCKTAIL CLASSIC 2025
Saturday, October 18th from 4:00-7:00 PM
Vote to crown "Best Cocktail in Town"

Participating Venues:
Fife Street Brewing
Cocktail, Orzata Spritz: A bright and nutty twist on the classic spritz, crafted with smooth vodka and almond syrup, topped with sparkling lemon seltzer, and finished with a fresh lemon garnish. Refreshing, elegant, and subtly indulgent.
Appetizer, Tahini and Honey Grilled Chicken Kebob: WV pasture raised chicken thigh marinated in tahini, garlic confit, lemon juice, and honey served with blistered veggies.

Sam's Uptown Cafe
Cocktail, Kalimotxo: Simple, bold, and delightfully unexpected—just like its famous fan Lady Gaga. This classic Basque cocktail is a refreshing blend of red wine and cola, served over ice. What began as a street-party staple in Spain has become a cult favorite around the world. The Kalimotxo’s balance of dry wine and sweet fizz makes it approachable, playful, and deliciously drinkable.
Appetizer, Beef Tenderloin Medallion: Served atop a golden potato cake, finished with a rich mushroom sauce, accompanied by glazed carrots and artisanal bread.

The Volstead Room
Cocktail, Pear Fire Reverie: A sparkling harmony of toasted pear and rosemary syrup, topped with prosecco and a splash of club soda, finished with the bright lift of expressed lemon oils. Effervescent, aromatic, and dreamlike—this cocktail is a reverie in every sip.
Appetizer, Creamy Spinach & Goat Cheese Ricotta: A velvety blend of spinach, goat cheese, and ricotta, brightened with fresh parsley and lemon juice, layered with delicate prosciutto on a toasted brioche baguette.

Hagy's Irish Pie Pub
Cocktail, The Rusty Plum: A rich fusion of Drambuie’s honeyed warmth and spiced plum juice, delicately seasoned with allspice. This cocktail is smooth, aromatic, and perfectly balanced with a hint of intrigue in every sip.
Appetizer, Reuben Pasty: Flaky, golden pasty filled with classic Reuben flavors, with a side of tangy Russian dressing for dipping.
